Meredith Godwin, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist and board-eligible Internal Medicine specialist who founded Godwin Psychiatry to bring comprehensive, evidence-based mental health care to Wayne County and Eastern North Carolina.
Dr. Godwin completed a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry, a background that allows her to evaluate the whole patient — recognizing when physical health conditions contribute to psychiatric symptoms and treating both with equal seriousness.
She leads the practice's advanced treatment program, including NeuroStar® transcranial magnetic stimulation and Spravato® for treatment-resistant Major Depressive Disorder, and is committed to serving military members and families connected to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
